Green's General Foods have been producing and distributing their food products under the names of Green's, Lowan, Poppin, Basco and Lolly Gobble Bliss Bombs in Sydney since 1978. Green's General Foods have a broad set of foods including: cakes, muesli, microwave popcorn, pancakes and maple syrup, peanut butter, caramel popcorn, gravy, gluten free cereal, oats and side dishes. Green's General Foods company is qualified as a large company because Green's General Foods is not a multinational company because there is no company based in an overseas location and also Green's General Foods distributes throughout Australia to retailers such as Coles and Woolworths. Green's General Foods has shown that the majority of Australian products are using more of Australia's raw materials and now Green's General Foods obtain more than 90% of it's raw materials from Australia, including 100% of its oats, sugar, popping corn and other grains and all of Green's General Foods products are made in Australia. Due to the amount of dietary needs increasing, Green's General Foods product Basco is creating more gluten free products and at the moment produces more than 19 gluten free products. Green's General Foods ensures that their products have no artificial colours or flavours across their Green's baking range. Because Green's General Foods is a large company they implement the HACCP plan for there production and manufacturing. This gives consumers the assurance that their products are safe and hazard free. Green's General Foods have established and maintained a system that enables to identify, prevent, control and minimize adverse environmental impacts, whilst retaining product and service performance, quality and safety associated with company operations. The company complies with all applicable environmental legislation and they work towards relevant industry standards or codes of practice. They reduce wast, conserve resources and prevent pollution. The company has become a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant and shall put in place an action plan that will outline what can be done to achieve 'Best Practice' in the area of environmentally healthy manufacturing and packaging. Green's General Foods has now been using sustainable packaging with corrugated fibre board made from 100% recycled material and inner cartons from 95% recycled material both manufactured using environmentally friendly chlorine free processes.
